Put all your Christmas trash in front of your neighbor’s house so the criminals think they’re the ones that got the new 80-inch television and break into their house instead of yours. Just kidding. Don’t really do that.
In all seriousness though, remember that all those empty boxes that you put out with your trash advertise all the cool stuff that you got for Christmas to everybody – including the bad guys. It’s better to break them down or cut them into small enough pieces that they can fit completely inside your recycling container. Let’s keep the criminals in the dark about what’s in our houses.
