Cherish the Children Cruise Night | Awareness for CASA of Northeast Oklahoma

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. CASA of NE Oklahoma is their 1st Annual ‘Cherish the Children Cruise Night.’ This event intends to help CASA bring awareness to the sad reality that children face every day.

We are seeking sponsorships for our ‘Paper Doll Project’. When someone becomes a sponsor, they will receive a ‘paper doll’, which is a child-shaped cut out of wood. They will ‘foster’ the child by dressing the doll and display them in their business or home throughout the month of April. On April 30th, we will gather up all the dolls and display them on the Ottawa County Courthouse lawn for the entire day and into the evening for our event finale, CASA’s Cherish the Children Cruise Night for the community to observe. After the event, we will donate all the clothes to children in foster care.

We are kicking off summer with our CASA’s Cherish the Children Cruise Night. The City of Miami has asked that we make this Miami’s signature event, and we could not be more excited. This will be an annual event and we hope to make it bigger each year. Our car show participants will be on the sidelines for our cruisers. Exhibitors will be lined along both sides of our Main Street where the cruise night will take place. We will have food trucks, music (hopefully a live band 🤞), and booths set up at the courthouse. This will be a summer-themed event and we are encouraging cruisers to dress and decorate their vehicles accordingly. How fun!!
