The Joplin Salvation Army is taking applications for Christmas 2020 area residents in the following areas:
Joplin, Alba, Asbury, Carl Junction, Carterville, Duenweg, LaRussell, Oronogo, Purcell, Reeds, Sarcoxie, Waco, Webb City, and Neck City.
Only one person per family will be allowed in the building to apply for this Christmas assistant, no children allowed in the building.
These items will be required for everyone living in the house to complete the application:
Photo ID for everyone over 18 years old
Children ID: Examples are – school grade cards for children, food stamps with the child’s name as part of the family and/or birth certificate.
Proof of residency: utility bill or lease
Proof of all income in household: Examples SSI, Food Stamp letter showing income and all family members on the case, pay stubs, unemployment letter.
Dates applications are accepted:
November 2 – 7
November 2 – 6 9am – 5pm
November 7 – 9 am-noon
Spanish translator available: Tuesday, November 3, 9 am – 5 pm and Thursday, November 7, 9 am-noon.
It’s almost time to sign up for Christmas Assistance. We are taking applications in two different areas so please pay attention to the flyer from your city. Click on the flyers to get them to open all of the ways.
We will be sharing information about our client list with other agencies and churches giving Holiday assistance to avoid duplication. If you sign up somewhere else, you will be removed from our list. We all want to help as many people as possible and can only do that if we do not help the same people.
